These miscellaneous stories don't take place in either of the two major universes that fall under my purview, nor the expanse of Battlegrounds Beyond. They are mostly standalone, but canonical in their own right, and Vantage Points is a multiseries that is, and will be, revisited every three years.
Vantage Points
Set in a universe called Voldisilaverse, this multiseries tries to show what the world (or, at least, a world) looks like from various people’s perspectives. Each series will have its own underlying theme, and each installment will be told by a different narrator. The overarching story progresses chronologically...
General Stories
These were some of the first stories that I wrote for my site. The very first ones actually predate it, when I was only posting them on Facebook. They have no connecting thread, and some of them are rather experimental. I was still trying to find my voice as I had had more experience with longer form stories before then...
Stepwisdom
Inspired by Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs, this series purports to advise an individual on what they need to lead a healthy and happy life. From the mundane to the possibly unattainable, take each step at a time until you reach total peace. And also, the installment number tells you how many words are in that installment...
Wildcards
Set across a number of different universe in The Bulk, each installment in this series selects a character to explore who stands out from the faceless crowd of their worlds. Some may be heroes, while others struggle to do the right thing, but they are all particularly noteworthy, whether they are aware of it or not...
Dreams
These are real dreams that I have had over the years, and originally logged into a special Twitter account I have called @IHadaDreamWhere. Of course, some had a character limit of 280 and others only 140, so I have expanded them into larger stories, some spanning multiple installments, and spawning new universes...
Providentials
One Tuesday, November 8, 2016, the worst president this country has ever seen was elected. I had originally intended this series to be an expansion of my 99 Problems post from the year before, but decided to reverse it in order to promote positivity in a time when we needed it most. These are 99 things that I love...
Revised Fables
I hate fables. Nearly all of them leave you with an absolutely terrible lesson. I don’t know if it’s because the writers were cynical assholes, or if they were just a product of their time, but many of them are in serious need of being updated. So that’s what I did. Here, I fixed it for you. You’re welcome...
Interview Transcripts
A collection of fictional interview of all kinds: employment, journalistic, college, court, police, clearance, celebrity, psychology, suitability, survey, library reference, and one “other”. They were written during the COVID lockdown, so while it takes place in a different universe, it resembles our own pretty well...

Cloze Tests
Well, this is certainly a thing that exists on my website, and you can technically click here to read them. If you don’t know what a cloze test is, I'm sure you can Google it, Gemini it, or even ask ChatGPT. What you probably can’t do is make sense of this highly experimental series. I cannot recommend you try...
Botner
Before ChatGPT and Gemini, there were early attempts at LLMs, InferKit being one of them. As you would expect, it wasn’t great, and has since been discontinued, but I found it an interesting experience, having a robot partner. I will try to revisit the concept later, but I’m not sure that it will improve much after a second series...
Constellations
There are 88 modern constellations, and I wrote a story about every one of them, as well as something called a dark nebula because I had an extra day in the year. The stories aren’t based on mythology, but are original, inspired exclusively by the actual names of the constellations. Enjoy...
Sonnets
I wrote some sonnets a few years ago
I tried my best, easy it never was
Whether they are good, I may never know
The reason I wrote them is just because...
All Fifty
Told from the point of view of a little girl giving a presentation to her class, this story describes the adventures of her late father. Before his death, he managed to travel to (nearly) every U.S. state, and not with any sort of record-reaching intentionality. Each slide explains what his purpose was for each one...
Pleadings From Boreverse
Years ago, an alternate version of me came back in time to stop the end of the world. But he changed other things, which needed to be remedied, so he sacrificed himself. I brought him back to life in another universe, and he hasn’t stopped looking for a home ever since. In this series, he will find...that Boreverse...is not it...
Correspondence
Roughly 179,517,445,200 kilometers from Earth, a trans-Neptunian planet orbits our host star. It was difficult to locate, but colonized after it was. Two siblings separated at birth will finally find each other despite the distance, and attempt to develop a relationship. And we might learn why they were kept apart all this time...
